Greville Matthews is an accomplished aerialist and all round circus performer with a background in gymnastics and dance. He has a wide range of aerial and ground based skills and has worked for a variety of projects for theatre, TV, cabaret, burlesque nights and theme parks both in the UK and abroad. Clients include Universal Studios Japan, X-Factor, Westfield shopping Centre, Longborough Opera House, Lloyds TSB, Proud and Madam Jojo’s  

He is a graduate of The Circus Space Degree program. Where he specialised in aerial straps focusing on integrating comedy. Other aerial skills include tissu, corde lisse, static trapeze, bungee and harness work. Ground based skills include acrobatics, trampolining, theatre, dance (contemporary, contact and release) as well as stilt walking and magic.

  • Performed Both Stupendous Crapini comedy magic acts for the monthly Cabaret of Curiosities in Chatham, Kent;
  • Performer/deviser in 'From The Inky Deep' which combines tightwire, aerial and acrobatics and acrobalance to transport you to a world of dark fairy tales and mythical creatures. Performed at Winchester Hat fair, Jackson's Lane Theatre, London and Rochester Castle Moat;
  • Performed For Whom The Bells Toll and Icarus straps acts for the Cabaret of Curiosities Kids cabaret in Chatham, Kent;
  • Performer/aerial consultant in a music video. Performed harness and advised about best ways to achieve artistic goals within time and rigging constraints. Milton Keynes;
  • Performed straps act to 40’s style music in a cabaret at the Brickhouse, London;
  • Bacchus Club night - performed straps, escapology at height in a globe and walkabout at Proud in the O2, London;
  • Aerial and acrobatic co-ordinator for The Three Musketeers Musical - taught actors rope descents and how to climb set safely. Rose Theatre, Kingston;
  • Peter Pan Pantomime - slapstick acrobatics, acting (understudied Smee), dancing and singing. Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells;
  • Puck in Benjamin Britten’s opera Midsummer Night’s Dream - straps, tissue, acting and dance. Longborough Opera House;
  • Lovepet - vertical dance and straps. London and Burgos, Spain (part of international vertical dance competition);

  • Westfield shopping centre advert shoot - double point wirework. London;
